May is National Fitness Month for Seniors and MHAC is honoring Seniors by hosting a Senior Health Fair.
Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 9:00am - 1:00pm, join Carol for activities, vendors, blood pressure checks and more! Bring a non-member senior friend for free this day! (Photo ID Required)
National Senior Fitness Day
Tell your Senior non-member friends they will have another opportunity to visit the gym for free. Wednesday, May 30th, non-members can come and use the club. They simply check in at the front desk with photo ID.
Potluck Social
Bring your favorite dish and socialize. Meet in yoga room from 12noon - 1:00pm. Non-member friends are welcome. Contact Carol Cohen for dates.
Cost: $2.00 per person-sign up at activity board.
Young at Heart Fitness Class
Monday / Wednesday from 12noon - 12:45pm. Gentle weights, stretching and strengthening for increased functionality in your everyday life—move it or lose it! This class is included with membership! Don’t miss class on our plank competition Wednesday, February 15th.
Chair Aerobics
Join Carol at 12noon in the Group X room. Work on strength, flexibility and balance. This 45-minute class allows folks with limited mobility to join a class and get a workout!
Dates: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Fridays of the month
Aqua Fitness
Remember that we have over 17 aqua fitness classes per week, as well as, open time in the pool and lap swim time! Aqua exercise is a great way to get your heart rate up while keeping the stress on your joints down—get in the swim!
Yoga 101: This class is classic yoga moves for seniors and beginners to ease into yoga practice and bring mind and body into balance. Classes are Tuesdays at 12noon in the Yoga room.
Yoga 102: Same as Yoga 101 except this class only takes place on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Dates are January 12th, February 9th, March 8th and April 12th.
